It is the grim darkness of the 31st Millennium and there is only war, but this is one in a sea of realities. Forget what you thought you knew, the Imperium stretches across the stars but familiar names are cast aside for fresh faces and new conquests. The Great Crusade has ended, torn asunder and trampled beneath the shadow of a new conflict. Almire Leoric, Primarch of the XVIth Legion, most beloved son of the Emperor and Warmaster of the Imperium, has turned against his father, marching on Terra with aims of casting him down and reigning as Emperor in his stead. At his side march seven of his brothers, a full eight legions ready to butcher those who stand with the Emperor of Mankind. Not for the first time, Astartes spills Astartes blood as the Legiones Astartes who were created to forge the Imperium, now tear it apart.
All of mankind burns in the fires of Almire’s war, billions of mortal soldiers of the Imperial Army, mighty war fleets of the Imperialis Armada and vast cohorts of emotionless robots of the Mechanicum turn on each other across a thousand thousand war zones, each declaring themselves for the true lord of mankind, whoever that may be.
In a series of ambushes and masterful deception spanning the entire galaxy, Almire has shattered the loyalists, turning them against each other as much as they are against his own forces. Those still loyal to the Imperium are paralysed by confusion, each day bringing more news of once loyal forces striking their colours in favour of the Warmaster. Even the sons of the Emperor whose loyalty is beyond reproach have been broken upon the anvil of the Warmasters fury; Bartosz, Primarch of the Palatine Wings, is missing, lost in the opening days of the war at Istvaan V as his legion struggles to rally once more. Veratal Dharma, Primarch of the Seekers of Unity, is also reported slain, though conflicting reports place the blame at either the hands of Charon of the XVIIIth Legion, or at those of the Warmaster himself.
The Imperium cries out for aid, but the Emperor cannot answer, locked in his own struggle with a reborn god of Anarchy, the fifth Chaos God, Malal. Striking at Terra through the webway, the Lord of Mankind is unable to turn his eye from his war with such an ancient enemy, even as his own empire is consumed by war.
Like a lightning bolt hurled from a vengeful god, Almire and his traitors are racing for Terra, determined to end the war before the loyalists can move to reinforce their Emperor. Standing against them are the Star Guardians, Praetorians of Terra, the sole legion known without a shadow of a doubt to be loyal to the throne even still, their task an insurmountable one.
Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been lost as the Mechanicum tears itself asunder, never to be relearned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in this new, grim age there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.
The fires of rebirth have been lit for every human soul, no matter the side they stand upon, the galaxy now torn asunder beneath the treads of gods and demi-gods.

About Us
An alternate universe to the Horus Heresy, replacing the 18 Space Marine legions with those of our own creation. This project not affiliated with Games Workshop in anyway.
The project will cover lore, models, art and rules of our new universe, from the Rangdan Xenocides of the Great Crusades, all the way through to the dark days of the Frontier Wars and the Second Solar War.
